This workshop gives an overview of research data management, with a discussion of best practices for research data management. The following will be covered:

  • Data management plan basics
  • Data archiving and preservation basics
  • Best Practices for file naming and file formats

The workshop will conclude with time for questions and a discussion of the data management needs of the Framingham State University Community.

About the presenter: Hedda Monaghan is a part-time reference librarian at the Henry Whittemore Library. She has a science background, having worked in an entomology lab while working on her undergraduate degree and she has a professional interest in library services that support scientists.
