Chemistry Resources

A guide to information resources related to chemistry.

Finding Academic Articles

Scholarly articles, also called academic or research articles, are key to research in the field of chemistry. Use the resources below to locate academic articles. If you are stuck in trying to find scholarly articles, get in touch with a librarian using the contact information on the home page of this guide or the chat box in the lower right-hand corner of this page.

When searching for scholarly articles, you may be required to find primary research articles. This means articles that report on original research. For more information on how to tell primary and secondary articles apart and how to identify a scholarly article, check out the Understanding Scientific Literature tab of this guide.

SciFinder

SciFinder is a key database in chemistry. It is a research discovery tool that allows you to explore the CAS databases that contain literature from many scientific disciplines, including biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, materials science, and agricultural science.

To get access to SciFinder, fill out the form below. If you have questions about SciFinder, feel free to use the chatbox in lower right-hand corner or email a librarian at reference@framingham.edu.

Additional Chemistry Databases

The databases below also contain Chemistry content.
