Nutrition Resources

This guide has information resources useful for research on the nutritional aspects of food, food composition, dietary guidelines, dietetics, and food service.

Finding Academic Articles

Scholarly articles, also called academic or research articles, are key to research in food and nutrition. Use the resources below for locating academic articles. If you are stuck in trying to find scholarly articles, get in touch with a librarian using contact information on the home page of this guide or the chat box in the corner of this page.

When searching for scholarly articles, you may be required to find primary research articles. This means articles that report on original research. For more information on how to tell primary and secondary articles apart and how to identify a scholarly article, check out the Understanding Scientific Literature tab of this guide.
