Searching Tips for the Online Catalog

Search by keywords related to your topic.  You can combine different keywords by using the word and between each keyword.  For example: euthanasia and law.   You can also search by a Library of Congress Subject Heading under Subject.  Two examples of relevant subjects include Medical laws and legislation or Medical care -- law and legislation -- United States .

Find Books in Other Libraries

WorldCat allows you to search for a primary resource beyond FSU and the Minuteman Library Network. For items that are available through interlibrary loan, fill out an interlibrary loan form to have them sent to the Whittemore Library. Items shipped through inter library loan may take up to a few weeks to arrive at FSU. Be sure to leave enough time in your research process to receive such materials.

Request Books via InterLibrary Loan

Is there a book you need but Whittemore Library and the Minuteman Library Network doesn't have it?  If so, fill out our online interlibrary loan form and let our Inter-library Loan librarian find it for you.
