Data @ FSU: Data Management Plans

A LibGuide on data management and reuse

What is a Data Management Plan?

A data management plan (DMP) is a document that describes:

  1. The data you expect to collect over the course of a research project
  2. How you will manage, analyze, store, and describe the data over the course of the research project
  3. How you will preserve and share your data at the end of the research project

The DMPTool was developed by the University of California Curation Center to help researchers create, review, and share data management plans. DMPTool offers a data management plan templates according to major research funders.

To create a data management plan in DMPTool it is necessary to create an account. FSU is not currently a partner instiution in DMPTool, so when creating your account select "Not In List" on the list of institutions.
